The COBA Major Week VI POWs and Team of the Week …

The COBA Major Zero K Bats Player of the Week is Aidan Murphy of the Brampton Royals.

This is the first weekly award for Murphy this year. For his week, he played two games batting .727 (8-for-11) with a home run. He scored five runs and collected seven RBIs as well.

For the season, Murphy is now hitting at a .400 clip (14-for-35) over the clubs first 11 games. He has a double, a triple and a home run while plating nine runs and driving in 10 RBIs.

Brampton Royals’ Arrman Lakhani was the pitcher of the week

The COBA Major Sam Bat Pitcher of the week is Arman Lakhani of the Brampton Royals.

The veteran hurler takes down this honour for the first time this season. In his only appearance this week, he collected the win as he tossed six innings allowing three runs (one earned) on seven hits. He walked one while striking out two Oakvlle batters.

On the season, Lakhani is now 2-1. He has thrown 17 innings and allowed 12 runs (six earned) on 24 hits for a 4.24 ERA. He has walked only five batters while striking out eight.

The COBA Major Zingers Bats Team of the Week are the Brampton Royals.

The Royals had two games this week and collected a pair of wins. They defeated the Erindale Cardinals at home by a score of 15-14 and followed that up with a 15-7 road win in Oakville.

With the wins, Brampton now sits at 6-5 on the season, good for 12 points overall and are currently tied for second place in the Andrews Division standings.
