The COBA Major League’s best including the Player of the Week, Pitcher of the week and Team of the Week for COBA’s Week XIII …



The COBA Major Zero K Bats Player of the Week is Andrew Mullin of the Erindale Cardinals.

This is the first weekly award for the veteran Mullin this year. For his week, he played two games batting .750 (6-for-8) with two home runs, two doubles and also had one walk. He scored five runs and collected 11 RBIs.

For the season, Mullin, who is predominantly a pitcher, is now hitting at a .386 clip (11-for-30). Six of his 11 hits are round-trippers. He also has two doubles, while scoring 11 runs and amassing 18 RBIs to this point in the season.

The COBA Major Sam Bat Pitcher of the Week is Chris Cloes of the Milton Red Sox.

The veteran hurler takes down this honour for the second time this season. In his only appearance this week, he collected the win as he tossed seven innings, allowing four runs (one earned) on nine hits. He walked one while striking out five.

Cloes now sports a 4-1 record on the year. He has thrown 43 innings and allowed 17 runs -- 13 earned -- on 42 hits for a solid 2.72 ERA. He has walked only six batters while striking out 32.

The COBA Major Zinger Bats Team of the Week is the Milton Red Sox.

The Red Sox won their only game this week. It was a solid 10-7 victory over the Etobicoke Rangers.

With the win, Milton now sits at 10-9-1 on the season, good for 21 points overall. They are currently in fourth place overall in the COBA Major standings.
