The Okotoks Dawgs rebounded from their Monday night loss to the Lethbridge Bulls by beating the Bulls 7-1 on Thursday night at Spitz Stadium.
The Dawgs’ bats came alive, recording 15 hits, while their pitchers allowed just four hits. With the victory, the Dawgs move to a WCBL league-leading 31-10 on the season.
Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) led the way offensively for the Dawgs with three hits and two RBIs to bring his season total to 32. Cole Cramer also had three hits and two RBIs, while Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.) went 3-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to five games.
On the mound, Gavin Wuschke (Regina, Sask.) started and permitted just one run on one hit in four innings. Five Dawgs relievers then combined to keep the Bulls off the scoreboard for the rest of the game.
The Dawgs return home for a two-game series starting on Friday against the Brooks Bombers, with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
