The Okotoks Dawgs completed a sweep of their two-game series against the Brooks Bombers with a 3-0 win on Saturday night.

The Dawgs pitching staff was outstanding, keeping the Bombers’ bats silent while striking out 10.

With the victory, the Dawgs improve their WCBL-leading record to 33-10.

Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) got the Dawgs on the board with a two-run double in the second inning. He now has 34 RBIs on the season.

Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.) went 2-for-3 to extend his hitting streak to six games.

On the mound, Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) started for the Dawgs and pitched five scoreless innings, permitting just four hits, while striking out six. Five Dawgs relievers would then combine to shut out the Bombers the rest of the way.

The Dawgs wrap up their homestand against the Medicine Hat Mavericks with their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game on Sunday afternoon at Seaman Stadium.
