Crowell, Grant, Hammill, Sanchez lead Dawgs to 13-2 victory over Red Sox

The Okotoks Dawgs continued to swing hot bats as they cruised past the Regina Red Sox, 13-2, on Sunday afternoon at Seaman Stadium.

With the victory, the Dawgs extended their winning streak to seven, and moved to 18-5 on the season.

Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) launched a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning to open the scoring for the Dawgs. Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.) added two hits and two RBIs in the win.

Ricky Sanchez hit a three-run triple in the bottom of the seventh for the Dawgs and finished 3-for-4 with three runs.

Elijha Hammill (Oakville, Ont.) also contributed two hits and two RBIs.

Ryan McFarland (Calgary, Alta.) got the start and allowed two runs on five hits in five innings to earn the win.

The Dawgs are back in action on Monday as they take on the Sylvan Lake Gulls in a make-up game from June 14.

The Dawgs will then hit the road for a Tuesday matchup against the Lethbridge Bulls.
