Crowell leads Dawgs past Mavs for 13th straight win

The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Medicine Hat Mavericks 7-3 on Monday night in the first game of their seven-game road trip.

The Dawgs’ registered 14 hits in the win - which was their 13th consecutive victory - and move to 23-5 on the season.

Cole Cramer had two hits and an RBI for the Dawgs, while Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) went 4-for-4 with an RBI. Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) and Aidan Rose (Calgary, Alta.) would also record a hit and an RBI each.

On the mound, Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) started and tossed four innings, allowing two runs on four hits.

The Dawgs will travel to Moose Jaw to take on the Miller Express on Tuesday with opening pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
