Crowell, Rumberg spark Dawgs to win over Red Sox

The Okotoks Dawgs got back to their winning ways by defeating the Regina Red Sox 10-4 on Thursday night.
The Dawgs registered 10 hits to move to 24-7 on the season.
Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) sparked the offence, launching his eighth home run of the season, He finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.) and Conner Stewart added two hits and an RBI each in the victory.
Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) had a team-leading three runs for the Dawgs while Aidan Rose (Calgary, Alta.) also scored twice.
On the mound, Logan Rumberg (Okotoks, Alta.) was dominant in his start, delivering four scoreless, hitless innings, while striking out nine.
The Dawgs will face the Red Sox again on Friday before heading to Weyburn to battle the Beavers for a two-game series.
