The Okotoks Dawgs earned a series split with the Fort McMurray Giants, with a decisive 13-7 win on Sunday afternoon.

The Dawgs smacked 16 hits in the victory and have found their scoring groove again, tallying 27 runs in the final two games of the series.

The Dawgs move to 10-3 on the season and sit first in the West division.

Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.) scored the first run of the game for the Dawgs in the top of the first with a single. He ended up going 2-for-6 and registering two RBIs.

Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) went 2-for-5 and knocked in two, while Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) went 3-for-5 and had two RBIs.

On the mound, Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) went three innings and allowed three runs on five hits while striking out two.

The Dawgs will have two days off before they return to Seaman Stadium to battle the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Wednesday.
