Crowson has plenty to crow about as Dawgs roll to seven straight

Okotoks, Alta. - The Okotoks Dawgs remained as hot as the lead horses on the warmest day during Stampede Week Tuesday night with a convincing 9-1 victory over the Edmonton Prospects.

Runaway horses to date in this young season, the Dawgs improved to 7-0 on the season.

Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) was an offensive leader, belting a solo home run and driving in two runs. Crowson continues to dominate, batting .440 in the early 2024 season.

Kadyn Williams was another standout, going 1-for-3 and with two RBIs.

The Dawgs’ bullpen showcased its depth tonight, scattering seven hits seven innings highlighted by Adam Beamin (Saskatoon, Sask.) throwing two hitless innings while striking out three. Ashton Luera was solid as well, striking out the side in his one inning of work.

The Dawgs hit the road Wednesday, taking on the Brooks Bombers at Elks Field. The Dawgs will be back at Seaman Stadium on Sunday to take on the Lethbridge Bulls for ‘Princess in the Park’ day.
