Crowson propels Dawgs to win over Giants

The Okotoks Dawgs snapped their short two-game losing skid with a 14-6 win over the Fort McMurray Giants on Saturday.
The bats came alive for the Dawgs as they recorded 16 hits in the victory. They also had 12 walks.
Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) went 3-for-3 and scored five runs for the Dawgs. He also had two walks and an RBI.
Cole Cramer also contributed two hits and had two walks and two runs.
Cesar Valero (Calgary, Alta.) had an RBI double in the fourth inning to account for one of his two RBIs in the contest.
On the mound, Garrett Maloney went 3 2/3 innings for the Dawgs, surrendering four runs on seven hits while striking out five. The bullpen allowed just two runs on six hits the rest of the way.
The Dawgs and Giants will wrap up their four-game series Sunday afternoon in Fort McMurray. The Dawgs will then have two days off before they return to Seaman Stadium to battle the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Wednesday night.
