Dawgs rout Bombers 11-0 in WCBL season opener

The Dawgs began their quest for their 3-peat with a dominating 11-0 win over the Brooks Bombers at Seaman Stadium on Friday night.

Graham Brunner (Sherwood Park, Alta.) was the starting pitcher for the Dawgs. He tossed five scoreless innings going five innings and picked up the win. Now in his seventh season with the club, he continues to establish himself as one of the best statistical pitchers in Dawgs’ history.

Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) was the Dawgs top hitter. He crushed the Dawgs’ first home run of the year and collected four hits in the contest. Crowson is in his fourth season with the Dawgs.

The Dawgs take on the Lethbridge Bulls in their second game of the WCBL season on Satursday. Gates open at Seaman Stadium at 5:30 and first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
