Dawgs announce three key signings for 2020 season

The Okotoks Dawgs are pleased to be bring back some familiar faces in LHP Graham Brunner, catcher Gavin Logan and outfielder Micah McDowell for the 2020 season.
Brunner is a familiar face for Dawgs fans. A Dawgs Academy alumni, and current Barton CC athlete, Brunner has will be coming back for his fourth season with the Dawgs. In his three seasons with the Dawgs, Brunner has compiled an impressive 9-2 record with 93 innings pitched, 87 strikeouts and a 3.68 ERA. The Dawgs will look to Brunner to be a key piece of the pitching staff for the 2020 season.
Gavin Logan (Okotoks, Alta.) is a product of the Dawgs Academy, currently playing for coach Andy Peterson at Linn-Benton CC, and recent Oregon State University commit from Oyen, Alberta. In his first summer with the Dawgs, Logan was a stalwart behind the plate. Logan played in 30 games, starting behind the plate in 28 games, and was impressive on both sides of the ball. He hit .368 while collecting 13 RBI’s with an impressive .995 fielding percentage. Gavin will be an impact player and have a significant role in defending the championship title in 2020.
Micah McDowell (Coldwater, N.S.) is another Dawgs Academy product and current Oregon State University Beaver in his freshmen year. Last year Micah saw the field in a limited amount of games, only playing in 10 games for the season. In those 10 games, McDowell collected 5 hits, 4 walks and 4 stolen bases while fielding a perfect 1.000 while patrolling the outfield. Dawgs fans should be excited to see Micah for the upcoming season, as he is an explosive athlete with game changing capabilities. The Dawgs are excited to have Micah back to help defend the title in 2020.
