Dumitru, Lumbard homer for Dawgs in win

The Okotoks Dawgs completed a two-game sweep of the Regina Red Sox on Friday night with a 12-3 win.
The Dawgs registered 13 hits in the victory and move to 25-7 on the season. They sit in first place in the Western Canadian Baseball League.
Titus Dumitru got the offence rolling with a three-run home run in the third inning. He finished the night 3-for-4.
Caleb Lumbard (Regina, Sask.) launched his first home run of the season and ended the night 2-for-5 with four RBIs.
Cole Cramer also added two hits for the Dawgs, while Ricky Sanchez and Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) each contributed an RBI.
On the mound, Bobby Vath started and allowed three runs on six hits in four innings, while striking out 4. Right-hander Vic Domingo (Vancouver, B.C.) would later enter the game and strike out the side in the sixth and seven innings for the Dawgs.
The Dawgs are now off to Weyburn to take on the Beavers in a two-game series starting on Saturday night.
