The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Edmonton Prospects 7-2 on Thursday night at Seaman Stadium.

Due to renovations being done on their field, the Prospects used Seaman as their home park.

With the win, the Dawgs are now 12-1 on the season.

Offensively, the Dawgs were led by hometown favourite Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta) who went 1-for-3 with three runs and an RBI.

Jarrett Burney (Reinhardt University) made his Dawgs’ debut and went 2-for-5 and scored two runs.

Barry Eiseman (University of Montevallo), who has been a reliable hitter all season, also added two hits, while Tucker Zdunich (High River, Alta.), Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.), and Eiseman each contributed RBIs.

On the mound, Gavin Wuschke (Regina, Sask.) started and threw four scoreless innings for the Dawgs, allowing only two hits, while striking out three. Brody Forno (Okotoks, Alta.) relieved Wuschke and held the Prospects off the scoresheet while registering two strikeouts in two innings.
