Dawgs lose 4-2 to Mavericks

The Okotoks Dawgs were defeated 4-2 by the Medicine Hat Mavericks at Seaman Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, the Dawgs are now 33-11 on the season, but still sit atop the WCBL standings.

Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) had two hits for the Dawgs, while Titus Dumitru went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Chestermere, Alta., native Logan Grant’s six-game hitting streak came to an end on Sunday, but he was still able to contribute an RBI.

On the mound, Ryan McFarland (Calgary, Alta.) started and allowed just two runs on two hits in five innings for the Dawgs.

The Dawgs are back in action on Monday when they will travel to Sylvan Lake for a makeup game with the Gulls.
