Lethbridge, Alta. - The Okotoks Dawgs suffered just their third loss of the season on Wednesday night when they were defeated 6-3 by the Lethbridge Bulls at Spitz Stadium.

With the loss, the Dawgs’ record dropped to 18-3 on the season.

The Dawgs’ offence was held to five hits - three of those were doubles by Dawson Santana (Oregon State), Jarrett Burney (Reinhardt University) and Barry Eiseman (University of Montevallo). Santana, Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) and Aidan Rose (Calgary, Alta.) knocked in runs for the Dawgs.

On the mound, the Dawgs’ bullpen held the Bulls off the scoreboard after the second inning. Brody Forno (Okotoks, Alta.), Aaron Hammer (Campbellsville University), Zane Morrison (Campbellsville University), Ashton Luera (Oklahoma Wesleyan University) and Cade Herrmann (Bellevue University) all had scoreless outings. As a group, they combined to strike out eight batters in seven innings.

The Dawgs are on the road again on Thursday when they will take on the Edmonton Prospects at Centennial Park.

They will return to Seaman Stadium on Friday where they will be facing the Medicine Hat Mavericks for their “Teachers Appreciation” event.
