Dawgs lose to Bulls

The Okotoks Dawgs ended their road trip with a 6-1 loss to the Lethbridge Bulls on Friday night.

With the loss, the Dawgs drop to 39-16 on the season and sit one game up on the Sylvan Lake Gulls atop the WCBL West division with one regular season game remaining.

Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) launched a solo home run in the fourth inning to account for the Dawgs’ only run.

Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.) went 1-for-3 to extend his hitting strike to 16 games, while Caleb Lumbard (Regina, Sask.) had two singles.

On the mound, Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) started and allowed two runs on five hits, while striking out seven, in five innings.

The Dawgs will wrap up their regular season at home on Saturday against the Bulls. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
