Okotoks, Alta. - The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Brooks Bombers 11-4 at Seaman Stadium on $10 ticket night in front of 4,321 fans.

It was the Dawgs’ fifth clash with the Bombers this season.

With the win, the Dawgs’ season record is now 11-1.

The Dawgs had 14 hits and multiple players homered, led by Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S., Reinhardt University). Crowell went 2-for-3, crushing his first home run of the season. Barry Eiseman (University of Montevallo) also belted his first of the campaign in the same inning; it was a three-run shot. Tucker Zdunich (High River, Alta.) later became the third player of the night to go deep.

Kadyn Williams (Emporia State) and Spencer Sullivan (Linn-Benton) registered two RBIs each to contribute to the Dawgs’ early lead.

Ryan McFarland (Calgary, Alta.), Ashton Luera (Oklahoma Wesleyan University) and Greg Ross (Emporia State) all pitched scoreless innings in relief, with McFarland and Luera combining to strike out five in two innings of work.

The Dawgs’ victory also marked the first win of the season for left-hander William Fife (Mesa Community College) who started and allowed just one run in 3 2/3 innings.

The Dawgs will return to Seaman Stadium on Thursday to take on the Edmonton Prospects.
