The Okotoks Dawgs rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Sylvan Lake Gulls 4-3 on Monday.

The victory extends the Dawgs’ winning streak to eight games and moves them to 18-5 on the season. They have a two-game lead in the West division.

Cole Cramer would get the Dawgs on the board with a sac fly in the bottom of the first inning that scored Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.). Luther also had an RBI single in the seventh that plated the winning run for the Dawgs.

Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) went 2-for-4 and knocked in a run for the Dawgs.

On the mound, Gavin Wuschke (Regina, Sask.) had a solid start for the Dawgs, allowing three runs on six hits in four innings, while striking out four.

The Dawgs are back in action on Tuesday as they make a quick trip to Lethbridge to tangle with the Bulls. They then return home to take on the Swift Current 57’s on Thursday at 7:05pm.
