The Dawgs made the announcement on social media on Friday.

For his efforts, Crowell was named to the 2023 All-WCBL Team by Alberta Dugout Stories.

It was Crowell’s second season with the Dawgs. He hit .284 with four home runs in 32 games for the Dawgs Red squad in the pandemic shortened 2021 season.

Prior to starring with the Dawgs last summer, Crowell socked 20 home runs in 47 games for the NAIA’s Reinhardt Eagles. He also hit .356 and finished with a 1.170 OPS.

In 2022, Crowell batted .458 with seven home runs and 74 RBIs in 44 games with the Bismarck State Mystics, who competed in the NJCAA. This earned him a spot on the Canadian Baseball Network’s All-Canadian Third Team.
