On Wednesday, the Okotoks Dawgs announced their three latest signings – Noah Geekie (LHP/OF, Emporia State), Tristan Gomes (INF, University of Portland) and Daniel Hutchison (RHP, Chandler-Gilbert CC).

Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) – LHP | OF, Emporia State University

Geekie is a familiar name and has been a fixture on the Dawgs’ pitching staff and starting lineup for the past several years. A two-way player, he brings tremendous value and versatility to a stacked Dawgs roster. During the Dawgs 2022 WCBL Championship, he played in 42 regular season games, hitting .351 with six doubles, two triples, one home run and 22 RBIs. On the mound, Geekie made five appearances and struck out 14 hitters in 9 1/3 innings, while posting a 2.89 ERA.

Tristan Gomes – INF, University of Portland

Gomes enters his junior year and first season with the University of Portland Pilots after transferring in from Cal State Fullerton. So far in the 2023 season with the Pilots, Gomes has gotten off to a hot start. In five games, he is hitting .429 with one double, two home runs and four RBIs.

Daniel Hutchison – RHP, Chandler-Gilbert Community College

In his freshman season, Hutchison has gotten off to a hot start with the ‘Yotes. In six appearances (including one start), he has struck out 19 batters in 13 innings and has registered a 3.46 ERA.
