Dawgs rebound with win over Giants

The Okotoks Dawgs bounced back to take the second game of their series against the Fort McMurray Giants, winning 4-0 in a rain-shortened contest on Friday.
With the win, the Dawgs improve to 10-1 on the season.
They will play two more games against the Giants before they continue their nine-game road trip.
Starting pitcher Graham Brunner (Sherwood Park, Alta.) earned his third win of the season, allowing two hits in five innings, while striking out four.
The offence was powered by McCoy Pearce (Kamloops, BC), Tucker Zdunich (High River, Alta.) and Alejandro Cazorla (Calgary, Alta.) who each knocked in a run.
An error by the Giants defence allowed the Dawgs to score one run in the first inning.
The Dawgs will face the Giants Saturday night for the third game of the series, before heading to Regina, Swift Current and Lethbridge.
The Dawgs will return to Seaman Stadium for the annual “Father’s Day” Extravaganza” on June 19.
