The Okotoks Dawgs returned home from a four-game road trip to defeat the Sylvan Lake Gulls 10-4 in front of 4,366 fans at Seaman Stadium on Tuesday night.

With the win, the Dawgs improved their record to 18-2 on the season.

After falling behind 4-1, the Dawgs rallied for four runs in the bottom of the third inning. Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.) had an RBI double, while Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) added an RBI single and Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) belted a two-run home run.

Two innings later, Tucker Zdunich (High River, Alta.) clubbed a grand slam to give the Dawgs a 9-4 lead.

Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.) also had two hits, including a solo home run, for the Dawgs.

On the mound, Chase Tucker (Mount Pearl, Nfld.) tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win. Seth Thompson (Calgary, Alta.) struck out the side in the ninth to close out the contest.

The Dawgs will now head back on the road to take on the Lethbridge Bulls on Wednesday.

They will return home Friday to take on the Medicine Hat Mavericks for the first time this season.
