The Okotoks Dawgs’ offence was kept in check on Thursday night in their 1-0 loss to the Lethbridge Bulls in Lethbridge.

The Dawgs were only able to muster three hits in the loss.

With the defeat, the Dawgs move to 10-4 on the season.

Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) would get the first hit of the game for the Dawgs in the top of the seventh inning, and he would be followed by a single from Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.). Lou Anderson (Mirabel, Que.) would get the only other hit for the Dawgs. It came in the eighth inning.

On the mound, Bobby Vath went four scoreless innings, allowing only two hits while striking out four. The bullpen also had a strong game, permitting just four hits and one run in the final five innings.

The Dawgs will travel to Medicine Hat to take on the Mavericks on Friday night. They will then return to Seaman Stadium for Father’s Day weekend beginning on Saturday when they welcome the Lethbridge Bulls to town.
