The Okotoks Dawgs had their three-game winning streak snapped on Friday night when they lost to the Fort McMurray Giants 3-0.

The Dawgs could only muster four hits in the loss, which dropped their record to 36-13 on the season. They still have a one-game lead atop the WCBL’s West division.

Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.) recorded a hit which extended his hitting streak to 10 games.

Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) also extended his hitting streak to six games with 1-for-4 performance.

On the mound, Brody Forno (Okotoks, Alta.) pitched two scoreless innings to start the game before handing the ball to the bullpen where five relievers would allow three runs on seven hits.

The Dawgs wrap up the series with the Giants on Saturday at Seaman Stadium, with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
