Okotoks Dawgs

The Okotoks Dawgs have bolstered their pitching staff with three new signings.

Logan Rumberg (RHP, George Mason University), Chase Prestwich (RHP, Northwestern State University) and Tim O’Connor (LHP, Northwestern State University) will join the Dawgs for the 2023 season.

Logan Rumberg (Okotoks, Alta.) – RHP, George Mason University

Dawgs fans will be familiar with Rumberg as he was part of the pitching staff during the 2022 championship season in his senior year with the Dawgs Academy. During the regular season, Rumberg made nine appearances and registered a 0.90 ERA and racked up 15 strikeouts in 10 innings. Entering his freshman year at GMU, Rumberg will look to make an impact with the Patriots working primarily out of the bullpen with the opportunity to expand his role as the season progresses.

Chase Prestwich – RHP, Northwestern State University

Prestwich is entering his sophomore season with the Demons, an NCAA D1 program in Louisiana. The right-hander struck out 18 batters in 26 innings during his freshman year. Look for Prestwich to make a more significant impact for the Demons as he comes back another year stronger and more experienced and to carry it into the summer with the Dawgs.

Tim O’Connor – LHP, Northwestern State University

After transferring from Murray State College, O’Connor will enter his junior season with the Demons. During his sophomore campaign with Murray State, he racked up 44 strikeouts in 32 2/3 innings.
