Official Okotoks Dawgs News Release

The Okotoks Dawgs dominated the series finale defeating the Fort McMurray Giants 10-6.

The Dawgs had a massive seventh inning where they scored eight runs to take a commanding lead that they would not relinquish.

The Dawgs improve to 12-1 on the season and will have the day off on Monday.

Ryan McFarland (Calgary, Alta.) earned his second win of the season, pitching six innings, allowing eight hits, two runs and finishing with one strikeout. Relief efforts from Connor Robbins (Calgary, Alta.) and Bode Brooks secured the victory.

The offence was powered by McCoy Pearce (Kamloops, B.C.) who went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Ricky Sanchez, Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.), Alejandro Cazorla (Calgary, Alta.) and Jake Hoskins also contributed by driving in runs for the Dawgs. Alex Stufft made his season debut and collected his first RBI of the season.

The Dawgs will face the Red Sox on Tuesday night in Regina for a two-game series before heading out to Swift Current and Lethbridge. The Dawgs will return to Seaman Stadium for the annual “Father’s Day” Extravaganza on June 19.
