Unity's Dillon Poschenrieder will have a chance to display his talents in baseball with Team Prairies at the annual Tournament 12 in Toronto, Ont.

Tournament 12, or otherwise known as T12, is a national annual baseball tournament hosted at the home of the Toronto Blue Jays in the Rogers Centre. All players that enter the tournament are eligible for college and are considered to be the best 160 overall players available in the country.

The tournament is organized by the Toronto Blue Jays organization and gives players across the country a real opportunity to further their baseball careers at the college level.

Poschenrieder was selected to compete on Team Prairies and will be an important player on the roster. Throughout the five days of the tournament, each team will play a minimum of four round robin games, and possibly more depending on the win-loss record. There is an additional day for each team to perform in front of the entire scouting staff for an hour time period.

The opportunity that lies ahead of Poschenrieder is tremendous as he will get his chance to shine in the same outfield as big league players like Kevin Pillar on the Toronto Blue Jays. It should be a unique experience for himself and his teammates from across the province who have been able to hold several practices leading up to the tournament.
