Dionne, Pare, Usselman star for juniors in win over Nats prospects

The Junior National Team rallied for two runs in the eighth inning to take a 3-2 lead over a group of Washington Nationals prospects and hung on to take home a 4-2 victory.
Dylan O’Rae (Sarnia, Ont.) lined a single to right field to score Deiten Lachance (Sherbrooke, Que.) with the tying run before Ty Hamilton (Orleans, Ont.) lofted a fly ball to right to score Cole Leclair (Toronto, Ont.) with the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly.
Reece Usselman (Langley, BC), Matteo Pare (LaSalle, Ont.), Jack Pineau (Thunder Bay, Ont.) and Kaleb Thomas (Hagersville, Ont.) pitched for the Junior National Team, limiting the Nationals to two runs and seven hits.
Jimmy Dionne (Saint-Augustin de Desmaures, QC) had two hits and a walk to reach base in all three of his plate appearances as the juniors collected seven hits on the afternoon.
