An even dozen Canucks earned spots on the Perfect Game All-Tournament teams from the 2017 Perfect Game West MLK Championships.

A total of eight players from the three Regina-based Inside Pitch Prospects teams -- freshman, underclass and upperclass competitions, coached by Morgan Reiter and Cory Hall -- competed at Camelback Ranch in Phoenix, Ariz. 

Four members of the BC-based Dbacks Scout Team, coached by Doug Mathieson and Jamie Bodaly, also earned all-tourney honors as players were selected based on first-hand observations as well as statistical data compiled using GameChanger, the official scoring application of Perfect Game.

INF Jack Klippenstein (Regina, Sask.) and Thomas Ireland (Regina, Sask.) earned all-tourney honors on the freshman team level. As well as pick-ups from the prairie suburbs of RHP Alexander Suppiah (Los Altos, Calif.) 3B Gabriel Rodrigues (Freemont, Calif.), LHP Josh Say (Santa Clara, Calif.) and 1B Jayden Greco (Santa Clara, Calif.). 

1B Riley Schick (Lumsden, Sask.), 1B Justin Van Achte (Estevan, Sask.), OF Garrett Houston (Melville, Sask.), INF Foster Hilchey (Regina, Sask.) and RHP Dylan Solie (Regina, Sask.) were IP Prospects who earned spots on the Underclass Team. RHP Brandon Pitts (Sunnyvale, Calif.) grabbed a spot as well. 

Dbacks Scout players on the Upper Class all-tourney team are Dylan Ohlsen (Abbotsford, BC), Daniel Martin (Penticton, BC), Brett Bass (Abbotsford, BC) and Michael Stovman (Maple Ridge, BC), plus RHP Cole Van Every (West Kelowna, BC) of the IP Prospects. 
 
LHP Alex Stefanidis (Kettering, Ohio) and SS Jonny Homza Dbacks (Anchorage, Alaska) of the DBacks also were on the all-tourney team. 

And David Rhodes (White Rock, BC) of the Pacific Northwest Regional Royal earned a spot after a scoreless outing.

RHP Nathan Slobodian (Porcupine Plain, Sask.) impressed and was clocked at 87 MPH and may hit 90 by the end of the summer. Slobodian has signed to pitch at Minot State this fall.
