Heralded CF prospect Dante Nori delivered the kind of performance blue-chip prospects tend to deliver on the big stage ... the 25th annual Perfect Game World Wood Bat championship at Jupiter, Fla.

Nori (Toronto, Ont.) helped the Canes National/NY Mets Scout Team advance from the round of 32 by going 3-for-3 in an 8-1 win over MVP 2004 at the 25th annual World Wood Bat Tournament in Jupiter, Fla.

In the round of 16, Nori singled in two at-bats -- and walked -- as the Canes National team dropped an 11-4 decision to 5 Star/Top Tier Roos. The score was not indicative of the first six innings as 5 Star scored eight times in the top of the seventh.

Nori, now lives in Northville, Mich., as his father Micah Nori is a former coach with the Minnesota Timberwolves, after being a Toronto Raptors scout and coach. Dante is hitting .444.

This was playoff action for the teams with the best records in the 26 pools which encompassed 104 teams. The event is held at Roger Dean Stadium and the surrounding minor-league fields used each spring by the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Nationals. It is regarded as the No. 1 scouting event of the year.
