RHP Jacob Wallace and LHP Sean Duncan combined to scatter six hits and strike out 11, as the Brewers Langley Blaze scored an 8-4 win against the PRBAHS at the 25th annual Perfect Game WWBA World championship in Jupiter, Fla.

Wallace (Pincourt, Que.) worked 3 1/3 innings for the win. An ABC alum, Wallace allowed a run on two hits and a walk, while fanning five. In his 66-pitch outing, he had 60% strikes as he hit 89 mph.

Langley Blaze’s LHP Sean Duncan (Coquitlam, BC)

Duncan gave up three runs -- two earned -- on four hits and a walk, while fanning six. In his 60-pitch outing, he hit 86 mph and threw 68% strikes.

2B David Krahn (Langley, BC) doubled twice, drove in a run and is hitting .444 through three games. SS Maxime Boies (Lévis, Que.) had two hits knocking in a pair and Polanco-Ethier (Laval, Que.) drove in two. 3B Zach Cavanagh (Chilliwack, BC) had a pair of hits and drove in a run.

CF Evan Dugdale (Maple Ridge, BC) and LF Rémi Lemay (Ste-Martine, Que.) each doubled while OF Briggham Kokotailo (Langley, BC) singled to drive in a run. Charles Lavigne (Blainville, Que.) had the other hit.

The 104-team tourney -- 26 pools of four teams apiece -- is staged at Roger Dean Stadium the most covered scouting event of the year by both pro scouts and college recruiters.

Knocking in three runs for Canadian Premier was Ontario Blue Jays Brayden Ricketts (Brampton, Ont.)

Ontario Blue Jays Brayden Ricketts (Brampton, Ont.) doubled in three runs to give Canadian Premier a 5-4 lead. Yet it wasn’t enough as the Canes National Scout Team rallied for two in the bottom of the seventh and the walk-off win.

3B Brendan Lawson (Toronto, Ont.) singled and drove in a run while CF Jorge Valdez (Milton, Ont.) and 2B Cam Gravelle (Smithville, Ont.) each singled. RF Quinn Carson (Oakville, Ont.) drove in the other run.

RHP Seth Ainsworth (Sarnia, Ont.) and RHP Luke Glenn (Queensville, Ont.) each had scoreless outings. Ainsworth, son of RHP Joel Ainsworth (Sarnia, Ont.) a 57th round draft pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1995, pitched two innings. Seth did not allow a hit, walked one and struck out three. He needed 29 pitches -- 62% strikes -- and hit 90 mph.

Glenn pitched one inning allowing a walk and two hits in his 21-pitch effort -- 71% strikes -- as he was clocked at 88.

Matt Brown (Carlisle, Ont.) pitched two innings giving up a pair of runs -- one earned -- allowing two hits and walking two. He hit 92 mph during his 41-pitch outing -- 58% strikes. Ryan James (Toronto, Ont.) gave up two runs on two hits as he hit 89 mph -- 62% strikes.

RHP Owen Slater (Whitby, Ont.) finished up, allowing two unearned runs on three walks and a base hit on 19 pitches. He was clocked at 88 mph.

RHP Aiden Taggart started for the Toronto Blue Jays Scout Team in a 5-3 loss to EBC 18U Martin. Taggart (Grimsby, Ont.) pitched three innings allowing two unearned runs on two hits and one walk. He fanned two in his 48-pitch effort, throwing 48 pitches -- 60% strikes -- hitting 89 mph.

Nathan Currah started for Rawlings National Scout Team in a 6-1 Team Elite Prime victory. Currah (Georgetown, Ont.) allowed two unearned runs on two hits and three walks in 2 1/3 innings. He struck out six. Currah worked consistently in the 82-84 mph range.
