A win and a loss for the two Canadian teams at the annual Perfect Game World Wood Bat World Championship at Roger Dean Complex in Jupiter, Fla. 

Evan Chenier and Ryan Capuano both had solid outings.

Evan Chenier (Georgetown, Ont.) was dominant as the Ontario Blue Jays rolled over the Banditos Black 12-1. He had support from 1B Jake Ervin (Mississauga, Ont.) who had two hits, including a double, and driving in three runs. Tyler Small (Mississauga, Ont.) also knocked in three runs. C Blake Buckle (Milton, Ont.) also doubled in a run.

Chenier allowed three hits and one unearned run. He fanned six and needed only 60 pitches (76% strikes). Chenier was eligible for the draft last June. 

C Noah Naylor (Mississauga, Ont.) and TJ Sam-Schofield (Brampton, Ont.) each singled in a run while other hits went to Ryan Johnston (Oakville, Ont.) and Austin Wilkie (Mississauga, Ont.).

The Reds Midwest Scout Team received a two-run walk-off home run to beat the DBacks Langley Blaze 5-3. 

Ryan Capuano (Scarborough, Ont.) of the Toronto Mets worked four innings allowing one run on three hits and one walk. He struck out two in his 48-pitch outing (60% strikes) and his fastball was clocked at 89 MPH.  

DH Ryan Magdic (Beamsville, Ont.)

DH Ryan Magdic (Beamsville, Ont.) on loan from the Ontario Royals, had a pair of hits, including a double and drove in a run.

Noah London (Whitby, Ont.) of the Ontario Yankees also singled.

RF Denzel Clarke (Pickering, Ont.) of the Toronto Mets, singled for the Rawlings National Scout Team in a 6-1 loss to the Ohio Warhawks.
