Elliott: Third Naylor arrives with Myles to go ... 23 months until 2023 draft
Ontario Blue Jays INF Myles Naylor (Mississauga, Ont.) started the season with Vegas Gold and Canes American 16U.

There was a young man from Mississauga, who could almost hit the ball to Oakville.
His name was Josh Naylor and he was selected by the Miami Marlins in the first round (12th overall in North America) in the 2015 draft.
There was a younger man from Mississauga, whose POP time made scouts’ think of popcorn -- “extra butter please” -- and he impressed with his blocking abilities. His name was Noah Naylor and he was chosen by Cleveland (29th overall) in 2018. They both played for the Ontario Blue Jays.
And now comes the youngest brother of three -- Myles Naylor, who is a smooth athletic infielder who can hit like his brothers.
Playing for Vegas Gold, his debut was June 16, 2021 at the Perfect Game Junior National Showcase at TOP Chops in East Cobb, Ga.
How did his season start? Well, batting third and playing second base, he took a called third strike in the first inning for Vegas Gold on the way to 5-2 win against Red.
Naylor doubled in a run in his second at bat to put Vegas Gold up 4-0 and on the way to victory.
Scout’s Notes
Myles Naylor (2023 SS, Mississauga, ON) barreled a loud double to the opposite field gap to one-hop the fence. He also ranged up the middle at short in the eighth and threw accurately to first to record the out. The shortstop possesses an impressive set of tools on both sides of the ball.

Also on hand for the Junior National Showcase was INF Cole Leclair (Toronto, Ont.) of the Mississauga Tigers. Leclair was named to the Perfect Game Preseason Underclass All American All-Region First Team for Canada/Puerto Rico and made the All Tournament Team at the 2021 Jr. National Showcase.

Next he joined the Canes American Perfect Game 16U National Select championship at the TOP Chops in East Cobb, Ga. Naylor went 2-for-3 with three RBIs in a 9-3 win over the Georgia Jackets 16u. He singled to centre in the third, had a bases-loaded walk in the fifth and later singled.
Naylor was hitless in a 10-1 loss to 5 Star Performance 16u National and the same in a 16-7 win against the Excel Blue Wave 16u.
In the playoffs, Naylor knocked in a pair of runs in a 4-2 win over Cannons Baseball University 2023 United and drove in a run as Canes beat 5 Star Performance 16u National 8-3. He was hitless in the final, a 5-4 win over the Cincinnati Spikes 16u,
Naylor was named to the 2020 Perfect Game Preseason Underclass All American Canada/Puerto Rico Honourable Mention and in 2021 he earned Pre-Season Underclass All American for Canada/Puerto Rico region.
He re-joined his Ontario Blue Jays for the remainder of the summer.
