TORONTO - Ryan Faragher delivered the go-ahead RBI as Ontario Green beat Alberta Red 3-2 in Tournament 12 action on Saturday at the Rogers Centre.

Faragher finished the game 2-for-3, including a single, double and a run scored.

Ontario pitcher Brandon Deans struck out three while allowing two runs in four innings before left-hander Caleb Clark took over and didn’t permit a hit or a run in the final three innings to pick up the save.

Alberta pitcher Levi Abbott struck out nine batters in only four innings, but allowed three earned runs. His day also included a four-strikeout inning after a wild pitch allowed a batter to reach first.

Ontario Green (1-2) tied the game 2-2 in the bottom of the third inning after Tye Imeson’s RBI single.

Faragher then singled home the eventual winning run.

“It’s my third year (at Tournament 12) and it’s always great coming here,” said Faragher.

Alberta (1-2) opened the scoring in the first on a triple by Ayden Makarus, who drove in Joel McKnight.

Dryden Howse then scored on a fielder’s choice in the second, giving Alberta a 2-0 advantage.

Faragher got Ontario Green on the board in the bottom of the second, scoring on a Zach Gardiner ground out.

Ontario Green will now play Ontario Black on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. E.T. The two Ontario squads played to a 5-5 on Friday night. Alberta will battle B.C. in their final round-robin match-up on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. E.T.
