Two former Terriers will don the red and white of Team Canada at the WBSC Americas Pan Am Games Qualifier in Buenos Aires, Argentina from June 16 to 21.

Elijha Hammill (Oakville, Ont.), who was a mainstay on the Junior National Team during his Terriers playing days, was one of five infielders named to the team.

Hammill spent his 2023 college season at the University of Utah where he played in 31 games and hit .208 with one home run and 13 RBIs.

Left-hander Travis Seabrooke (Peterborough, Ont.) will help anchor the Canadian pitching staff. The one-time Baltimore Orioles prospect is no stranger to Team Canada, having represented his country on the Junior National Team and during the last Olympic Qualifier in 2021.

The 6-foot-6 southpaw is currently in his third season with Winnipeg Goldeyes of the American Association. In five starts, he owns a 1-1 record with a 6.52 ERA in 19 1/3 innings.

Canada will be joined at the qualifier by host Argentina, Panama, Peru and Honduras. The winner of the five team tournament will head to the 2023 Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile from October 21 to 27.

Canada will hold a short training camp from June 10-13 at the Toronto Blue Jays Player Development Complex in Dunedin, Fla., before leaving for Buenos Aires.
