Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is ultra-hot and Marc Anthony must be drooling at the sky-high potential this young talent has.

Anthony is the international music crooner and multi-time Grammy winner, whose status on Billboard charts is widely known.

What is not widely known about Jennifer Lopez's ex is that he's the mastermind behind the baseball player agency Magnus Sports that scored a gigantic coup by landing Guerrero as a client.

Guerrero just may be the agency's most bona fide client now that he's one of the heartbeats in a Major League Baseball season that has seen two-position player Shohei Ohtani of Japan emerge as a sensation.

On a Magnus Sports roster that is baseball heavy except for some soccer players, Guerrero heads a list that includes Blue Jays prospect Tayler Saucedo and Yankees stars Gary Sanchez and Aroldis Chapman.

The agency's Legends category includes former Jays players Shannon Stewart, Marco Scutaro and Aaron Small.

Magnus Sports is a major component of Magnus Media founded by Anthony in 2015. The entertainers portfolio of Magnus Media comprises JLo, Anthony, of course, and other warblers such as Sebas, Fonseca, Cimafunk and Enrique Santos.

"Magnus is a whole new kind of company that is changing the game,'' is the agency's tune. Influential artists and athletes working smarter, faster and better.

The marketing potential for the likeable Guerrero seems endless.

Although Scott Shapiro and Barry Praver are known to be the contract negotiators for their baseball clients, including Guerrero, it would not be unusual for Anthony to get involved when the talks get to the heavy stage.

The largest contract in baseball history is the one signed last winter by Fernando Tatis Jr of the San Diego Padres, who came in at 14 years and $300-million.

The people at Magnus are operating incognito and don't make themselves readily available for interviews. I can see where it would be likely impossible to get Anthony to the phone but how about Shapiro and Praver? Not even Magnus communications specialist Blanca Lassalle has returned any messages to this reporter for help, information and setting up interviews. Very frustrating.

It will be interesting to see if this off-season Anthony, Shapiro and Praver will sit down with Blue Jays president Mark Shapiro and GM Ross Atkins to iron out a contract for Guerrero, who is earning $605,400 this season.

Guerrero is under Jays' control for a few years but he's not a guy you let go through free agency. Sign him up long-term soon.
