The Okotoks Dawgs extended their win streak to six games with a 13-1 victory over the Regina Red Sox on Saturday night.

The Dawgs scored 13 runs on 10 hits and 12 walks.

The Dawgs are now 16-5 on the season, and are two games ahead of the Sylvan Lake Gulls atop the Western Canadian Baseball League’s West division.

Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.) launched a three-run home run in the second inning, his second of the season. In total, he went 2-for-4 with five RBIs.

Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) also went 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Dawgs. Both Titus Dumitru and Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) also knocked in runs in the win.

On the mound, Graham Brunner (Sherwood Park, Alta.) started and allowed just one run on two hits in five innings, while striking out 3.

The Dawgs will battle the Red Sox on Sunday afternoon to compete the series. They will then play a rescheduled game against the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Monday.
