Grant, Luther help Dawgs end losing streak

The Okotoks Dawgs ended their three-game losing skid with a 10-7 win over the Lethbridge Bulls on Tuesday night.

The Dawgs’ record now sits at 37-15 and they are tied with the Sylvan Lake Gulls for first place in the WCBL’s West division with four games remaining on the schedule.

Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.) had a hit and two RBIs for the Dawgs, while Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.) went 2-for-5 with an RBI to extend his hitting streak to 13 games.

On the mound, Logan Rumberg (Okotoks, Alta.) got the start and allowed three runs on five hits, while striking out five, in three innings.

The Dawgs will now travel to Swift Current for a two-game series against the 57s, with the first game scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday.
