Ontario Blue Jays and Junior National Team grads Bo and Josh Naylor became the first two Canadian brothers to homer for the same team in the same inning of a major league game when they did so in the third inning for the Cleveland Guardians in their 12-4 loss to the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on Friday.

Bo was the first to homer, belting a two-run shot to right field off Rangers starter Jon Gray. His older brother then followed four batters later with a two-run blast down the right field line off Gray that made it 4-0.

This was not only the first time that two Canadian brothers have homered for the same major league team in the same inning, it was the first time in big league history that two brothers have clubbed multi-run homers (each hitting two-run homers) for the same team in the same inning.

"It's something super special," Bo told reporters after the game. "It's something that we've talked about, joked about in the past. Seeing it come to pass was pretty wild to think about.”

According to Sarah Langs, of the MLB Network, the Naylors are the first brothers to homer in the same inning for the same major league team since B.J. and Justin Upton clubbed back-to-back round-trippers in the fifth inning for the Atlanta Braves on April 23, 2013.

Langs also noted that the Naylors are the first two brothers to homer in the same game with the same team since the Upton brothers did so for the Braves on September 27, 2014.

Langs also shared on Twitter that the Naylors are the 13th set of brothers to homer in the same game for the same team.
