The Okotoks Dawgs completed a two-game sweep of the Swift Current 57s with a 13-2 win on Thursday night.
With the victory, the Dawgs’ record is now 39-15 and they remain one game up on the Sylvan Lake Gulls for first place in the WCBL’s West division with two games left in the regular season.
Elijha Hammill (Oakville, Ont.) belted a grand slam in the third inning for the Dawgs. He finished the night 2-for- 6 with four RBIs.
Meanwhile, Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs to extend his hitting streak to 15 games.
Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) also added a hit and his team-leading 38th RBI.
On the mound, Gavin Wuschke (Regina, Sask.) started and scattered eight hits over five scoreless innings to earn his third win of the season.
The Dawgs have their final regular season road game against the Lethbridge Bulls at Spitz Stadium tonight. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
