Humber 11 Holland 6
In pursuit of making the medal rounds, head coach Denny Berni sent big right-hander Rory Pollard out to the bump. Pollard who has been effective of late for the Hawks, struggled with command as he would get into a lot of deep counts in his two plus innings of work.
In this outing, Pollard would allow six runs (two earned), on five hits, with four free passes and three punch outs. Coming into a jam in the third, Dylan Perego came in to induce two ground balls and collect a strikeout to end the threat by Holland. Perego would pick up the win going three scoreless innings, allowing two hits, and striking out two.
Offensively, the Hawks jumped out to an early lead thanks to a Justin Marra two-run home run in the bottom of the first. Humber would plate three in the second, third and fifth innings on route to their 11-6 win. Surprisingly in such an offensive onslaught like this, Humber only accumulated five hits as they would draw seven walks, and reach via an error on four separate occasions. Liam Sutherland would score three runs in the game and Keegan Murphy would plate three runners with a bases clearing double in the second inning.
