Official Brantford Red Sox News Release

BRANTFORD - The Brantford Red Sox, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL), are proud to announce the signing of Matt Pilarczyk for the 2021 season.

A 24-year-old native of Milton, Ont., Pillarczyk has previously played in the IBL with the Burlington Bandits (2015), and most recently with the Guelph Royals (2017-2019).

In 2019, he posted a .259/.298/.296 slash line in 54 plate appearances over 23 games with the Royals. He is also a versatile defender, having logged time at every infield position, as well as playing in the outfield for the Royals.

The Brantford Red Sox were founded in 1911 and have won 15 Intercounty Baseball League titles.
