HAMILTON, Ont. - The Hamilton Cardinals have re-signed left-handed pitcher Nick Davies for the upcoming 2023 season.

An Ancaster native, Davies is heading into his third IBL season - having previously spent time with the Brantford Red Sox, as well as the Cardinals.

Davies is looking forward to building upon his impressive K% after posting 10 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings last year. Davies is a graduate of Brock University, where he was a standout on the baseball team and helped lead them to the OUA Regional Final in 2022.

“Nick is a young lefty with a chance to log a lot of innings with us,” said George Halim, Hamilton Cardinals general manager. “His presence on the mound, from the left side, gives us an opportunity to be flexible with how we go about his development. He’s got IBL reps, he just needs more.”
