Official Hamilton Cardinals News Release

HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to announce the signing of infielder Austin Gomm (Mississauga, Ont.).

Gomm graduates to the Intercounty Baseball League from the Ontario Terriers as well as playing for the Junior National Team.

“Austin is a great young ballplayer and we are so pleased to have him here in Hamilton. He can play all infield positions and hits gap to gap with pull side power and puts together good at-bats. He is a smart ballplayer with great instincts. We look forward to helping Austin develop his game, as he has pro potential,” said Cardinals general manager Jeff Lounsbury.

The Hamilton Cardinals are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
