Official Kitchener Panthers News Release

The Kitchener Panthers have re-signed outfielder Jett Jarvis (Wyoming, Ont.) for the 2023 season.

The 20-year-old Great Lake Canadians product has also suited up for the McGill University baseball team. In recognition of his strong collegiate season, Jett was named the 2022 McGill Baseball Team MVP.

The athletic outfielder is off to an outstanding start to his IBL career. In 60 games in his first two seasons, he has picked up 70 hits, walked 42 times, scored 55 runs and registered 32 RBIs.

In his rookie season in 2021, he ranked second in the league with 27 walks and 12th with a .445 on-base percentage.

He built upon this success in 2022, recording a .302 batting average on 40 hits, nine of which went for extra bases, and 19 RBIs in 30 games. He also hit .333 in the first round of the playoffs.

“We are pleased to welcome back Jett Jarvis, for his third season with the Panthers,” said Panthers GM Mike Boehmer. “Jett is a graduate of the Great Lake Canadians Baseball Program, and is a student athlete at McGill University, where he recently was awarded the McGill Baseball Team MVP. Jett brings speed, excellent outfield defence, a strong arm, and hit .303 in 30 games with the Panthers last season. We expect 2023 to be a strong season for Jett.”
