Official Intercounty Baseball League News Release

KITCHENER - The Kitchener Panthers are pleased to announce the re-signing of fourth-year outfielder Andy Leader (Kitchener, Ont.) for the 2021 season.

In 2019, Leader batted .303 with a .361 OBP while accumulating 19 RBIs for the Panthers.

In 2020, he was a senior at Canisius College (NCAA D1), where he led the team in several offensive categories, including batting average (.311), hits (19), slugging percentage (.475), total bases (29) and tied for team lead in triples (2). He was also MAAC All-Academic Team in 2019 and 2020.

The Kitchener Panthers are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 102-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
