KITCHENER- The Kitchener Panthers have re-signed LHP Adam Robertson and RHP David Bruinsma for the 2021 IBL Season.
In 2019, Robertson was a junior call-up and logged a scoreless inning. He just graduated from Wilfred Laurier University with honours and a degree in Kinesiology. On the field, he enjoyed OUA Championships in 2018 and 2019. He will be attending Brock University this fall and is enrolled in teacher’s college studying Health, Physical Education and Biology as well as playing on their baseball team.
In 2019, Bruinsma was a junior call-up and posted a 3.00 ERA in 4 1/3 innings. He attended Iowa Central Community College (NJCAA Division 2) where he graduated with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He now attends Guelph University studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience and was part of the team that made it to National Championship Final in 2019.
The Kitchener Panthers are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 102-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
