Official Kitchener Panthers News Release

KITCHENER - The Kitchener Panthers have re-signed third-year infielder Stephen Whalen (Heidelberg, Ont.) for the 2021 season.

In 2019, Whalen batted .241 in 19 games for the Panthers and hit .426 while winning the Silver Slugger Award at third base for the University of Waterloo Warriors in the OUA.

The Kitchener Panthers are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 102-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
