Official London Majors News Release

The London Majors have re-signed Pedro De Los Santos, who was one of the Intercounty Baseball League’s top pitchers in 2021.

The left-hander led the league in ERA (2.19) and trailed only teammate Owen Boon in strikeouts and wins and was a key factor in the Majors’ championship run.

Pitching over 90 innings in 12 games last season, De Los Santos went roughly 7.5 innings per start. After playing three seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, De Los Santos joined the Majors and was dominant.

“I had the most fun in a long time playing baseball,” said De Los Santos of playing for the Majors in 2021. “It was a great group of guys and it was a great atmosphere pitching at Labatt Park on Friday Nights. I am looking forward to another year playing for Roop and our great fans.”

“Pedro had a great season last year and formed the best starting pitching 1-2 punch with Owen Boon,” said Majors co-owner, GM and field manager Roop Chanderdat. “Pedro worked very hard to get himself ready for the season and this hard work paid off for both himself and the Majors as he had his best season in the IBL. He brought a veteran presence to our pitching staff and was a calm presence in the dugout. All season long, he did a great job of mixing his pitches and speed to keep the hitters off-balance.”

The London Majors are a member of the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021, they won the IBL Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy.
